About POLYMYTH
Polymyth Productions LLC is a full-service video production company based on the north side of Chicago, IL. We are an interdisciplinary team of artists and engineers, brought together by the belief that stories connect all people.
Polymyth was founded in 2011 by Dan Finnen, Derek Cox, and Darik Hall. Over the years, John Sexton and Carter Lodwick served as members, each elevating Polymyth with their skills during their time with the company. Currently, Polymyth is owned and run by Derek Cox, Jonathan Broeker, Aleks Vasic, and Dan Finnen.
Notice those black and white photos in the headers on all our pages? They feature many of the talented crew members we bring on for every production. Making great videos requires the talents of everyone from oil painters to 3D animators, and we have an extensive network in the Chicago area ready to make your vision a reality.

Meet the Co-Owners
Jonathan is a small town farm boy who came to the big city in 2010 to pursue acting, writing, directing, and any other form of storytelling he could find. Jon has a BS in Business Administration and a BA in Theatre Arts from St. Joseph’s College and has spent considerable time working in everything from the arts to manufacturing, often at the same time.
Aleks is an editor and producer. He was born and raised in Chicagoland, originally from the Oak Park/River Forest area, and graduated with a BA in Biology at Loyola University Chicago. Starting out as an actor at an early age and continuing through college, he was eventually drawn to the other side of the camera, and has spent time working in the many different areas of video production. Aleks met the Polymyth crew as an actor on their first feature film in 2012, and since then has been lucky to not only call them his business partners, but dear friends.
Originally hailing from Cincinnati, Ohio, Dan has been telling stories since the days when his only actors were Legos. Dan is passionate about writing, and he has authored countless screenplays, short stories, and novels over the years. You can learn all about his misadventures in writing, retro gaming, and film photography on his website.

The name Polymyth is a tribute to the state of storytelling in a connected, digital world.
Today, everyone is a storyteller and our stories are all connected.
Instead of the classical monomyth, together we create what we call the Polymyth — the story of everyone.
